About H1 Hummer Mpg in Questions
How much mpg does the Hummer H1 get? The official hummer site does not tell you. If you have the mpg, can you state the source too? thanks!

MiRaNdA rOsE replied: "my guess......nothing over 10"

Detours replied: "6 to 8 mpg"

pbleek replied: "The H1 uses a 6.5 liter diesel so it actually gets better gas mileage than the H-2 which is gas, the figures for H-1 are about 14 mpg on the highway (on a good day with a tailwind), but its slow, noisy and rough. You can find some owners forums that will give you all the info you need, its not an easy vehicle to live with unless you intend to off road it."

Carman23 replied: "Fuel ratings on a vehicle of this type are not required to be published however I found a website with some credability that answers your question. Hope this helps."

cubanitoloko23 replied: "at highway 12mpg at city 9mpg"

Fuel Mileage for my H1 Hummer alpha? I have a 06 H1 hummer does anyone know what the normal fuel miles per gallon is im getting about 8 mpg is that about right?

emiller1998 replied: "Probably. Those things are very heavy and huge. You bought a 7,200 lb brick so even with a diesel its going to be bad. If you could afford a $125k Hummer does the mileage really matter? Its big enough that I don't think they have to report mileage on the sticker though."

What would you think about someone who drives a Hummer H1? I am a college student and need a new car. I am trying to pick between a used 2004 Hummer H1 or a new BMW 1-series. Both are in the high $20Ks. I know the hummer only gets 9.5 MPG on diesel and does 0-60 in 17 secs and is bad for the environment/dangerous...but it's not a big deal b/c I don't drive that much. My question is what would you think about someone driving the Hummer vs a little sports car (both as an acquaintance and as someone you might consider going on a date with)? i.e. cocky prick vs outdoorsy adventurer vs manly man vs ...

Shortcake replied: "I would think the person driving the Hummer was trying to compensate for something."

frank b replied: "that they are sweet"

Pamela O 2 replied: "I wouldnt let what a guy drives influence my decision on whether or not to date him. the fact its playing so hard on your mind doesnt really say much for you either xx"

adrianne replied: "I would think that my tax dollars are probably paying for the mortgage on their McMansion."

Alex V replied: "if you drive the hummer you're an arsehole and an idiot. if you drive the bmw 1 series you're an idiot. It's a piece of shit with a bmw label. Buy a VW instead."

wsxedcrfcv replied: "get an audi ;-)"

bumblebee_:-) replied: "That the person who questions it is a gimp for asking such a pointless question"

alex.baker94 replied: "I would think...wow look at that rich son of a bitch! lol its a good car though."

Athena S replied: "yeh what is the point to that question? cos if you are going to go out with someone would it matter what they drove? and why not put the lot together and have it all? wow! what a man! can have manly man with cocky prick in the outdoors for adventures? oooohhh lalalalala"

4 seasons replied: "What makes you think that we care about what kind of car you drive????????"

intheicecreamvan replied: "Personally, I like the old military humvees. The civilian ones are but a shadow of their military cousin in my view. If I recall, the BMW 1-series is the low-end of BMW's line and I've never really been a fan of the lower-end of the product line for luxury marques. As far as the environment issue you raise, I honestly don't care about that. If you're not one who will use the capabilities of the Hummer I don't really see the point, though."

BigDaddy replied: "Both are pretentious and say look at what I drive. Fortunately for you, it does work with shallow girls. So, hmmmmm..... Go with the sports car. Nothing says I'm cool like a sports car. Plus it will cost a lot less in repairs down the road."
