Where can I find aftermarket 1990 Mazda 626 Parts? I am re-building my 1990 Mazda 626 and need to find an aftermarket source for interior parts, body decals... and does anyone know of a source for re-finishing the various nameplates, etc on the car???

craig replied: "try ebay"

Old Man Dirt replied: "For the refinishing of the name plates and "trim" items look at the Hemmings Motor News site. Body decals will be a problem, but there may be some one in Hemmings that can make them for you. The interior parts will be the trick, on this you may have to be happy with used until someone goes into the business for them. Which I doubt they will. So try the local salvage yards or car-part.com (there are others but I use this one)."

DKHAN replied: "Either ebay or get a different car"

mazda 626/ford probe parts 1998? everywhere i look, certain ford probe and mazda 626 parts are interchangeable. is that the case for the sunroof parts? i cant find a sunroof switch for a mazda but have found several for a ford probe that same year. i know i could look at the parts to see if they match, but i only have an idea what my half looks like, i cant find anywhere with a picture of the back of the switch to see if they will fit each othr.

How do I find out which Mazda 626's have compatible parts? I drive a '99 Mazda 626. I need replacement power lock assemblies for both front doors. I would like to get them from an auto salvage but I need to know the range of 626 models that would be compatible. Does anyone know?

Bandett replied: "drop by the mazda dealer go to the parts desk and ask them to help you on which model/years will work for you.. the people at parts counters are generally pretty helpful.,good luck."

how do i find a engine or performance parts for a 85 mazda 626 lx? i have a mazda 626 85 and i want to find a engine or performance parts

MazdaTech_PR replied: "that is a 2.0L right..... so you can get all the parts from new engines for example 2.0L is used of many cars including ford focus, ford escort gt, mazda protege 5, mx6 and so a local speed shop can help you with more details depend on how parts you are looking for"

Mazda 626 Performance Parts? What performance parts can i get for a 94' Mazda 626. Can i get it a bigger engine if so which one???

Jake replied: "A Rotary"

cool_dude replied: "Well.. for now you can start with installing lowered coil springs. Then a 3 inch exhaust. ALso 17inch Mags with low profiled tyres. If your having the 2Litre 4 cylinder model you can go for a 2.5Litre V6 engine (Mazda mx6 engine). This involves a lot of work including replacement of transmission and new wiring. ($$$) If you just want to increase boost go for a custom turbo. You'll have to get the manifold modified by a mechanic. Then the trouble of finding a proper turbo. If it's the looks you need, you can buy a bodykit off ebay. Whatever you do it's still a front wheel drive car mate...! no drifting.. :-("

Andy W replied: "yes. the 626 came with either a 2.0l 4cyl(kl-something?), or a 2.5l 6 cyl (kl03), but, there is a 2.5l j-spec v6 (klze). assuming youre living in america, youre not going to find this engine in a junkyard, youre going to have to find one over the internet. or in owners forums ( ) you dont need to change the transmission as the other poster stated (assuming you currently have the kl03 engine). I really dont want to go into major detail on a klze swap, but you will need: ecu, wiring harness, distributer, you need to tap the egr valve, and you might as well swap out the flywheel for an mx3 (bigger). now performance parts for the kl03 are hard to find. It doesnt have a very big aftermarket, and the aftermarket support it has, is pretty pricey compared to other cars. visit and check out the vendor list for companies that sell peformance parts, and also take them up on bulk buys. if you want a turbo kit, youre going to save hundreds. if you happen to have the automatic transmission, dumping this should be the very first thing you do. they are very poorly made, if you want to keep an automatic while increasing performance, goto they will build that auto to handle increased performance, but its going to cost the same as a manual swap. mx6s, 626s, probes, mx3 are very problematic cars, because they just werent built well, but if you dont mind the increased maintenance costs, they arent bad. also, one of the first modifications you should do, would be to do the "msd mod" search for it on any of the sites i previously listed. The distributers/ignition are junk. i replaced mine twice, and when it failed the third time, i learned of the msd mod. A remaned disty costs around $300, themsd mod, consists of a msd 6 al and blaster 2 coil, and total runs around $225. So theres the basics."

1998 Mazda 626 Performance Parts? Are there any good performance parts or a place to get them for the 626 because i'm having a little bit of trouble finding some?

cool_dude replied: "Start with a 3 inch exhaust, then a cold air inatake with a performance filter. Custom turbo or a supercharger would do good but will cost you a lot of $$$ You can fix an electric supercharger off ebay but not sure if they can give any performance. If you are happy to spend around $1000 you can import a nice body kit from USA Go to US ebay and search. Kit costs around $600 and $400 for shipping All prices are in Au$ Good Luck"

where can I look online for auto parts. Such as hood latch for a Mazda 626 2002 the car is an automatic? I have been to a few wrecking yards. But is there other places to find where they sell these parts?

Eclipse 02 replied: "EBAY EBAY EBAY cheap"

kablooie replied: "The wrecking yard is a good place to start. If your having no luck, your only other bet will probably be the dealership. I am fairly sure this is not a part that is commonly found anywhere except the dealer. For something that is safety related (in keeping your hood from flying open) I would not compromise with an aftermarket part anyway. The MSRP for the part appears to be $45.95... $50 for the peace of mind."

R J replied: "www.car-part.com Online link to junkyards all over the US. I've found a bunch of parts through them."

Huba replied: "Try Craigslist."

Where is a good site for aftermarket parts for my 99 Mazda 626 2.0? I cant really find any place that has alot of aftermarlet part for my car. Im looking for tail lights, clear corners, intake, head lights and a cool body kit. Plz Help its a bad ass car and iI want to show it off. Any sugestions about audio equipment would also help. Thank You!

snowlady replied: "try ebay under car parts and accessories. Good Luck!!"

Nate replied: "kkowholesale.com andysautosport.com The 99 626 isnt all that hard to hook up. Kits are easy to come by and so are the intakes (most are semi universal) The audio department depends on what kind of audio system youre trying to accomplish...most people want bass while some others want full surround, theater type sound."
