i have a 2001 audi tt. whenever my low fuel light appears all of my gauge needles will drop then reset? driver information center also turns off then back on making a beeping noise. basically the entire cluster turns off then on again

john i replied: "Sounds like dashboard electrics problem. This was on TV Watchdog programme as so many TT owners reported serious dashborad problems. Audi may well cough up to repair. I would contact your local Audi dealer and mnake sure they accept that it is a knwon problem and they need to fix under guarantee or if this has expired then under their Good will scheme"

roberzie replied: "If you are going to attemt to fix this your self you will need to purchase mthe factory service manual. If you want it fixed I would only trust the dealer on your audi. Thats a nice car good luck Rob"

Serious Sarcasm replied: "Hmmm, well, first of all, if you want to get it fixed, don't try doing it yourself, you can get electrocuted, majorly damage the car, or even worse destroy it completely...get a manual on how to repair the dashboard, which I think is what's wrong, and carefully read the instructions, good luck, and be careful..."

please help i need to know how to reset my date and time on the display of my audi tt? YEAR OF CAR 1999 225 BHP THE BATTERY WAS FLAT SO I JUMP STARTED THE CAR WITH LEADS, NOW THE TIME AND DATE ARE WRONG, IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO ALTER THEM

Dexter replied: "My Audi A4 too. Year 2005, intercooler Turbocharged. If you had an answer, I would like to know too."

onlinematthew replied: "Phone the audi hotline perhaps?"

carworker replied: "Full instructions are in your handbook"

eurometrix replied: "go dealer"

samhillesq replied: "If the time is all you really care about, disconnect the battery at precisely 12:00, and hook it back up, it should default to 12:00, lemme know!"

adamprice271 replied: "See that silver stick to the right of the tachometer(RPM gauge)? Push that in and it will make the hour flash. Then turn in right and hold it and the hour will change. Once it is on the correct hour, push it in again and it will take you to the minutes. Repeat the process untill it is correct. It took me a few mintues to figure out as well, because my GTI I had before was easier. goodluck"

CyberSay replied: "I cant believe some of the answers i saw here lol.. There is a stick on the tachometer.. instead of pushing it in, to cycle through onboard messages, you PULL it, the time starts to flash, then you turn the stick left or right to change.. then u pull it again, to go to minutes, then u pull it to go to month, then day, then year.. then pull it again, when nothing flashes, you're all SET."

Audi TT computer saying 'service in 10 days'? Anyone know how to reset the computer on an Audi tt as I have got this serviced and need to reset it. There is something out there to do it, I am not paying a Audi Garage the price they are looking for. Any help would be grateful

rocky_440rt replied: "On the dash there should be a menu and toggle button where you should be able to hold both and reset it."

Dorky123 replied: "I love Audi TT's ...I have no advice just thought I'd say that"

Help with my Audi TT stereo? Hi I have an Audi TT 2004 reg. The sliver cover that covers the radio/cd player used to turn off the stereo when you closed it . Took my car to have CD changer fitted in the boot and when I got the car back the stereo cover no loungers turns the stereo off so it still plays while down so I have to turn it off with the button. The stereo is back ok and all looks ok As the garage and he said he has to get some sort of code from Audi to reset it is this true? Help please Thanks

Alex replied: "ahh man ur lucky u av an AUDI TT if u av money to buy that take it to a garage and they'll fix it i want 1 :("

Darren M replied: "They may have popped the silver cover forward so it is not pressing the button anymore, does the cover still close flush with the dash or is it out a bit more?"

Me again audi TT!? Having problem that I posted before sorted out next week, but now there is another problem! The first time it happened I put it down to possible driving error by myself but then it happened again yesterday and I know it is not by error! Yesterday I was about to turn into a road, was in 1st gear, and as I turned in I accelerated as normal, changed gear and NOTHING happened. The car did not cut stall but there was no power, no acceleration, nothing. I turned it off and on again to reset itself and it was fine. Luckily I was not in a busy area the the other cars were paying attention, but the first time it happened i was in a busy area, very dangerous. Can anyone suggest the problem?????Please help. Will get it checked out next week.

cable guy replied: "This may sound daft, but did you really rev it in first gear. This may have hit the rev limiter. You need to pop it into second and then the car should act normal."

Colin M replied: "Actually there have been a raft of problems with TT electronics, most unlike Audi though it may be. They probably won't admit it, though . . ."

jixer replied: "The Audi TT is 'fly by wire'. The throttle pedal is not linked to the throttle by a cable but is actually a switch that sends a signal to the ecu which then actuates a motor on the throttle body.It could be a fault with the pedal switch itself but will definately need expert diagnosis to be certain.Hope this helps"
